GENERAL QUESTIONS
-
Most tours start and end in West Yellowstone, Montana. Private and large group pickup options may be available by request.
-
Our standard tours range from 6–10 hours depending on route and conditions (wildlife, traffic, weather).
-
Yellowstone is highly seasonal. Roads and services are limited in winter, and many roads close in late fall and reopen in spring. We run tours between April 15th and October 31st (weather permitting).
-
We aim to hit every major stop, but Yellowstone is unpredictable. We may adjust stop order or timing for wildlife activity, traffic, weather, or temporary closures. We always prioritize safety and guest experience.
PARK ENTRY & FEES
-
Entrance to Yellowstone National Park is included in our tour while you are on a tour with Great American Tour Co.
-
Yellowstone’s standard entrance pass is listed as $20–$35 (depending on pass type). Fees can change—check the NPS fee page for current pricing. Entrance to the park is included while on a tour with Great American Tour Co.
-
There is no additional fee if you’re on a tour with Great American Tour Co. However, if you choose to enter the park separately from our tour group you will be subject to additional fees. Beginning in 2026, NPS lists a $100 nonresident fee per person (age 16+) at certain parks (including Yellowstone) unless admitted with an applicable annual pass.
-
NPS currently states no vehicle reservations are required—just an entrance pass.
